The 2011 IIHF World Championship is the 75th IIHF World Championship, an annual men's world ice hockey tournament. The IIHF Championship 2011 is hosted by Slovakia for the first time in its history. It takes place between the 29th of April and the 15th of May 2011. The games are played in the Orange Arena in Bratislava and Steel Aréna in Košice.

In less then 100 days the elite ice hockey World Championship starts in two Slovak cities – Bratislava and Košice (29.4.-15.5.2011). This event should be watched by 350 000 spectators and a further 600 000 000 television viewers around the planet.
On the first of February starts the third phase of ticket sales. The people will be able to buy tickets for individual games.
